‍Hey there! I'm Jacob. I'm into maps, photography, traveling, and movies. These passions have shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined, and I love how they work together to tell a story.

‍Why I Love Travel
‍Traveling has been my greatest teacher. It's not just about visiting new places; it's about diving into new cultures, meeting the locals, and discovering more about the world and myself. I've been fortunate enough to explore every continent (except Antarctica) and each trip has played a part in making me who I am today.

‍My Journey into Photography
Growing up, I had wanted to do something in the movie industry, but I found photography courses before I found a film school. Photography has completely changed how I see the world, and it's become my favorite way to share my travel experiences.

‍Educational Background
Beyond the 3 years in high school photography classes, and 6 months at the Oklahoma School of Photography, I also hold a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Arizona, which has given me a better appreciation for the power of maps as tools for communication.

Adventures I'm Proud Of
‍One of the coolest things I've done? Long-distance motorcycle ride across the US, coast to coast. 9,000 miles in 30 days, from DC to San Francisco and back again.

‍My Gear
‍I started out with Nikon because I loved that their newest lenses could work with some of their oldest cameras. It seemed like a smart way to grow my gear collection without breaking the bank. I also have a 2010 Triumph Scrambler and a 2023 Tiger 1200 that enjoy traveling the country on.

‍Favorite Travel Quote
‍There's a quote I love: "adventure is misery, relived at leisure." It's a reminder that even when things get tough on the road, those moments become some of the best stories later on.

‍Balancing It All
‍Movies are a big part of my life. They let me explore new places when I'm unable to travel there myself and inspire me in so many ways. They're the perfect link between my love for maps, travel, photography, and storytelling.
