Review:

The last lines of the movie sum it up perfectly: “What did we learn? Well, I guess we learned not to do it again, but I don’t know what we did.”

There is a plot, but in this story of blackmail and affairs, it’s the small character moments that stand out most. Brad Pitt dancing to his headphones. George Clooney’s decent into paranoia. The chipper way Frances McDormand says her name.

Aside from having a great cast, the movie feels like it wants to be a dark satire, but it’s too upbeat to be dark and the comedy is too scattered to send a message. It’s entertaining, but could’ve been better.
